The first month of winter is quite controversial and diverse in the manifestations of fishing. If the end of November, the beginning of December, depending on the timing of the formation of ice, is often a real fishing holiday, called the first ice, then by the end of December the influence of the approaching “deaf-and-snow” is becoming ever more noticeable. And this is inevitable. It happens every year. And this is due to the conditions changing under the ice, when under thicker ice and falling snow it becomes darker and the amount of oxygen decreases. The fish becomes inactive, including roach, which most recently desperately bent a nod of a winter street, recklessly grabbing a bloodworm on a hook or a reelless mormyshka. The revitalization of the roach bite happens during the thaw, especially in the so-called “Sorozhkina” weather, that is, a quiet warm morning with falling soft snow.
