Features of fishing zander on a spinning rod. Bait for pike perch. Places of fishing.
Spinning fishing for zander has its own distinctive features, one of which is the impenetrability of the mouth of this predator. In addition, zander is a capricious fish that responds to changes in the weather. Therefore, sometimes there is no guarantee that even if today the predator took well on twisters, then tomorrow everything will be exactly the same. And tomorrow, a pinwheel may become a landmark bait. Therefore, the spinner needs to have a sufficient supply of lures. In addition, it should be borne in mind that in the summer, especially in the heat, the daytime biting of zander for spinning may not take place at all. But on a summer night you can catch zander. Moreover, at this time they go to the shallow sections of the rapids and to the shallow edges near the pits.
Spinning for catching pikeperch should have a fast system (fast), even preferable in some cases – extra fast. It is such a hard spinning that is capable of breaking through the jaws of a pike perch when cutting. Slow fishing rods, soft and whip, will facilitate frequent gatherings. In addition, monofilament fishing line must be retired. It is too elastic and will also dampen the jerk when hooking, which will not always allow reliable detection of zander, even with repeated hooks. Therefore, a braided cord is required.
Jig fishing has been and remains one of the main fishing for zander
This is an ideal type of fishing, as the pike perch is kept at the bottom, and the jig involves stepped wiring, that is, a jump-like movement of the bait with pokes into the bottom. But now zander is not the same. A jig head with a soldered hook often does not suit him because of the primitive movements of the bait. Therefore, Cheburashka sinkers are often successful, where a hook with a bait is suspended on a flexible coupling from a winding ring or clasp. During the summer lull, pike perch more readily takes on soft baits, especially on small “foam” ones. The size of summer foam does not exceed 5 cm. In spring and autumn, fish up to 10 cm long are used. These are very active baits, briskly playing at the bottom, like live fish. Foam foam can play even without wiring, being above the sinker lying on the bottom, in an almost vertical position and vibrating over the course. It is important to provide foam sponges with strong and sharp doubles, capable of breaking through the mouth of a pike perch.
Silicone baits are just as successful, especially from edible rubber. Often, twisters are the most sought-after bait in catching zander. In addition, spinner bates as well as bass bates can bring results. These are very active baits, consisting of several elements: temples, baits with a hook, petal or impeller. The predator sometimes desperately rushes to this strange structure, which, by the way, is also unhooked, where a metal arch serves as a hook protection. Therefore, these baits can be used in the so-called “strong” places – in snags and rocky ridges, where zander also likes to stand. These baits create high-frequency vibrations. Therefore, pike perch sometimes prefers spinner bays and bass bates.
Pinch catching on turntables
Fishing for zander on turntables is also effective in the summer and, especially in the hot season, when zander perches on the shallows on bright nights. For fishing, small baits No. 3-5 with a narrow petal are used. These are the spinning spinners “long”. Even touching the bottom, they do not stray from the wiring mode. In addition, the long turntables can successfully work on the course, which the famous comets cannot cope with. It is best to use heavy turntables with front loading. These are very effective pike perch lures. The only drawback of successful turntables is that they often twist the fishing line.
Spinner is a classic zander
It all started with her. Kastmaster very successfully fits into the strategy of catching pike perch on the oscillations. He plays already when he is only sinking to the bottom. This oscillating spinner successfully catches a zander, both on a stepwise, and on uniform conducting with a contact of a bottom. On warm summer nights, when fishing for zander in shallow waters, narrow, oscillating spinners with a high-frequency game work effectively, especially at exits with holes and pits below rifts.
Fishing for wobblers, the goal of which is zander, is possible with dipraners, which have a long shoulder blade and are able to “dive” deeper than three meters even with the casting method. Sometimes deepeners are used. But wobblers are most effective when trolling zander, when the speed of the boat and continuous wiring allows the wobblers to go down to 8-10 meters. But these are special wobblers for trolling.
