Closer to the fall, the conditions of any fishing change
From a boat or shore? Aksakovskaya bream fishing. From the boat to the donka.
Closer to the fall, the conditions of any fishing are changing. Especially these changes are noticeable on small rivers. A warm summer dawn, it happened, you will anchor along the edge of the coastal strip of grass and, you can say, a fishing place has been found. Thickets of egg-capsule and hornwort are usual companions of shallow water on a slope into a pit. It is understandable: aground, the water warms up better and is saturated with sunlight. And if the place is located right next to the river bed, then the water here usually goes around and this stretch is most often quite deep and rich in fish.
From a boat or shore?
Autumn fishing from a boat can be more productive than from the shore, since it is easier to find exits to the pit and grooves-hollows from the boat among flat depths. Here, most often the fish keeps and makes its morning and evening exercises for feeding.
Features of fishing in the fall
From a boat to a donka
For fishing from a boat to the donka, an onboard fishing rod is preferable to a float if you stand on a rather strong current. The meter rod is equipped with an inertia-free reel, a nodding guard and a sliding sinker, behind which an undergrowth of about 1-2 m long is curled in water jets. Two to three leashes with hooks No. 7-8 of domestic numbering are usually tied to the undergrowth. From the other side you can lower the feeder with proprietary bait or cooked according to your own recipe. This can be porridge from ground boiled peas and millet with the addition of feeder bait, oilcake, ground slightly fried seeds, browned crackers, also ground. For viscosity, you can add porridge from oatmeal (bait recipes).
But it is better to install a feeder feeder weighing about 40-50 grams on the onboard donka. For fishing in strong currents, you need a sliding feeder weighing about 100-150 g.
Fishing can be passive, that is, consisting of contemplating a nervously shaking guard in anticipation of a bite, or, using a heavy mormyshka, look for fish at different limits and bottom topography. To do this, the mormyshka is pushed downstream with short shocks, and then pulled back with shocks. Above the heavy mormyshka, you can tie up a light plastic, white or colored, as well as a luminous one. The weight of the main heavy mormyshka should be selected so that it does not rise over the course, but could move slightly under its influence. A donka with a sliding sinker can work in the same mode, and fishing will already be more dynamic. A smooth pull of the fishing rod makes a pull-jerk, the sinker with undergrowth and leashes moves to the boat. And then it falls back. Bite often occurs on the rise of the bait or after it stops.
Aksakovskaya bream fishing
There are lovers of the classic Aksakov bream fishing, where you can sit on a cozy shore surrounded by weeping willows, sedges and elms. But in the fall, when the fish often leaves the coast, float oud can sometimes bring only snotty ruffs and perches. To throw the tackle to a drop in a hole on the opposite shore or to a distant shallow, still verdant with grass, you will need running gear. Depending on the “caliber” of this sliding tool, it is also called Bologna, and in the heavier version – match. All its difference from the usual float rod is that it is equipped with an inertia-free coil and a sliding float. The float does not fasten tightly to the fishing line, but moves freely on it, resting only on a rubber knot or other limiter at the level of the estimated depth. The casting range is achieved by the good work of the inertialess coil, relatively thin fishing line and some weighting of the gear, that is, a heavier sinker or, in some cases, loading the float itself. This is a simpler option. But match fishing already has its own differences and equipment features: heavy floats called “waglers”, special match reels, rods and heavy sets of sinkers. The same applies to Bologna fishing, where floats with a long and thick antenna are attached to the fishing line using a tube mounted in the body of the float. Such a mount protects the float from breaking the mount during strong hooking, especially if fishing occurs in strong currents. And such cases are not so rare when the float is attached to the fishing line with the help of a ring mounted in the body of the float. Blind fastening of the float is preferable to any running gear, as the gear in this case is more controllable than with a sliding float. Sliding floats are used only when the depth at the point of fishing exceeds the length of the rod. This rule applies to all sliding rigs, from the simplest homemade to modern “long-range” match gear.
